THE LADY OF THE SEA RETURNS

The Lady of the Sea is back on a second visit to Plymouth and arrived at the Breakwater at 6am like clockwork this morning.

Tender boats taking Ambition’s passengers to the Barbican Landing Stage, where they will be met by the city’s Volunteer Cruise Ambassadors, Plymouth Cruise Partnership representatives, and shore handlers.

Ambition is the second of the cruise liners to set off the city’s new season in 2025, and first visited on the 11th of March, 2025.

The liner dropped anchor in the Sound around 7am in the mist, near RFA LymeBay and RFA Tideforce.

GOODBYE TO THE LADY OF AMBITION

3 short blasts and the Plymouth Pilot Boat escorts the Lady of Ambition out of the Sound, and a second successful visit to the city.

Plymouth and the South West will see a busy year for cruise ship visitors with return vessels, and debut whistle-stops with the Norwegian Pearl, Vista, and one of the highlights of the schedule is the return of the majestic cruise ship the Hebridean Princess that was chartered by the late Queen Elizabeth II twice.

Cruise ship visits gave Plymouth a £1.5m boost last year and brought in 10,000 visitors, many of them spending cash in Plymouth and outside areas.
