The public have been asked by the Police to avoid part of Plymouth Hoe while emergency services carry on the search for a man who reportedly went into the sea last night.
A HM Coastguard Helicopter and lifeboat was spotted on our webcam in the Sound this morning.
Emergency units were called to Plymouth Hoe, near Tinside Beach and lido, late on Monday night after the local police received reports of a man in the water.
HM Coastguard helicopter, was seen on the webcam sweeping across the foreshore with lifeboats, police, and dive teams in the area.
The HM Coastguard, police, and dive team returned to the scene this morning and searches are ongoing. The man’s next of kin have been informed.
