It’s going to be a busy time for RFA Proteus following reports that underwater sensors have been found in British waters.
The devices are believed to be Russian and intended to spy on Royal Navy Vanguard-class ballistic submarines and reported in the Sunday Times.
The Proteus seen here in Plymouth waters is used for protecting undersea cables and other infrastructure and as a mothership for drones and other systems with crews from the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
