HMS Portland was spotted at the Plymouth breakwater this afternoon in a brief boat transfer conducted by SD Cawsand.
The Portland could be part of Exercise Strike Warrior 2026, on the 26 September to the 2nd of October in Scotland and the North Sea.
The large-scale military multinational air exercise will involve over thirty ships and aircraft focusing on high-energy combat maneuvers and tactical integration between UK and NATO forces. The aims of the exercise are to test naval forces against demanding threats and improve their ability to operate alongside UK forces and NATO allies.
The exercise will include various military aircraft from the UK, US, France, Norway, and Germany, operating from both maritime platforms and civilian and military airfields across Britain.
