In 30 years of living on Plymouth Hoe, I have seen many events and showcases. But this morning’s ‘Raising of the Flag’ ceremony at the historic Belvedere is without doubt one of the poignant and spectacular.
The people of Plymouth turned out in force to pay respects and commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
