The last goodbye to HMS Montrose in Portsmouth today where the proud crew and former proud sailors gathered for her decommissioning ceremony – with music from the Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines.
The emotional send off for the Type-23 Frigate had seen over 30 years of loyal service, and was deployed around the globe on many missions – and was mostly based in Plymouth.
