What a Plymouth welcome for the maiden visit of the Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pearl in the Sound this morning.

Serco Group tug the SD Hercules gave a water cannon spray that delighted the passengers on board, with the ship sounding its horns in delight.

The liner can accommodate roughly 2,500 passengers and 1,100 crew.

The Pearl is now at anchor near the breakwater, and you can see the latest images on our live webcam throughout the day.
Once again, tender boats from the ship are taking passengers to the Barbican Landing Stage, where they will be met by the city’s volunteer cruise ambassadors, shore handlers, and other city cruise partnership representatives.
