UK’S POLAR FLAGSHIP STOPS IN PLYMOUTH

The UK’s iconic polar flagship ship the Sir David Attenborough, arrived in the Sound this morning inbound to @HMNBDevonport and spotted on our live streaming webcam.

The £200 million state of the art ship made some noise in the sound passing the Hoe foreshore making a stop in the city on her way south to support @BAS_News for the Antarctic Summer season, the vessel is named after the BBC naturalist Sir David Attenborough.

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) operates the ship, where the vessel researches the deepest covered polar seas.
