The Oceania Vista cruise ship made its inaugural visit to Plymouth this morning and arrived in the Sound just after 7am and was first spotted on our live webcam.

The luxury £500 million liner was sure of a warm welcome by city representatives, cruise volunteer ambassadors, and shore handlers at the Barbican Landing Stage to greet many of the 1,200 guests and crew members onboard.

Many of the cruise tourists could be seen in groups visiting the Barbican and famous Hoe waterfront attractions.
The Oceania Vista cruise liner was built in 2023, with its headquarters in Miami, Oceania Cruises is owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

The luxurious 15-deck cruise ship is on a whistle-stop visit before sailing onto Southampton tomorrow.

The 67,000-tonne, 1,200-guest ship was the first in the line’s new Allura-class ships, sailing her maiden voyage from Rome to Barcelona.

This is the 9th cruise visitor to Plymouth this year, with another three due to visit the city next month, including the Chrystal Serenity, Silver Dawn, and the Sirena.
