The French navy’s FS Tonnerre is near the Plymouth Breakwater this morning ahead of the next phase of exercise #Polaris25 which begins today in the Channel and Bay of Biscay.

Royal Marines are operating from French ships and simulated air assaults will be launched from @RNASYeovilton onto the French coastline.
The high-intensity #Polaris25 exercises involves over 3,000 French and foreign military personnel, more than 20 surface ships and over 40 aircraft in the Atlantic and the Channel that started last month and ends on the 15 June.

The aims of the exercises are to strengthen interoperability with participating allies and partners: Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom and United States, including a NATO task group.
