The ship last visited the city on the 15th of October 2024 in the mist and rain.
The liner was not part of the scheduled 2025 list of cruise ship visitors to the city, and was a delight to see back in the Sound this morning.

The huge vessel was spotted on our live webcam, and now dropped anchor near the breakwater until early this evening.
Passengers can be seen getting ready to board the tender boats that will take the tourists to the Barbican Landing Stage, where they will be met by city representatives, Volunteer Cruise Ambassadors, and other shore handlers.

The 125 million luxury cruise ship is run by Phoenix Reisen Cruises and was built in 1984 and refurbished in 2022. It was at the time the most expensive passenger ship ever built and initially named the Royal Princess because it was launched by Diana, the late Princess of Wales.

The vessel is on an 18-day one-way cruise to Bremerhaven, in Germany.
The Bahamas-registered cruise ship has eight decks and carries up to 1,260 passengers, and 537 crew, with 594 cabins.
