At 6am this morning, all lit up, came the Lady of the Sea Ambition cruise ship and dropped her anchor inside the Plymouth Breakwater at 7am.

Our live webcam spotted the Bahamas-flagged vessel operated by the Ambassador Cruise Line as the Plymouth Pilot Boat guided the giant vessel into position.
Ambition has officially started Plymouth’s Cruise Season Schedule and will be visiting Plymouth again later this month on the 23rd of March.

The luxury liner made an 11-hour whistle-stop visit to the city with tender boats ferrying passengers to the Barbican Landing Stage all day.
At 216 m long, the £180 million luxury liner can carry up to 1,200 passengers with 680 cabins, with 125 having balconies.
Plymouth has been building a global reputation for its amazing welcome ceremonies on the Barbican with the Volunteer Cruise Ambassadors, Cruise Partnership Representatives, and Shore Handlers.

The city is set to receive a dozen cruise liner visitors from this month to September 2025 with some exciting new and return vessels.
Cruise ship visits gave Plymouth a £1.5m boost last year and brought over 10,000 visitors to sample the best the city can offer and surrounding areas.

The Lady of the Sea Ambition made some noise before her departure, and the next stops are 12 days of sailings in Spain, Portugal, and France.
