Summer is coming with the news that the Scillonian III is starting its new season on Monday 18th March, 2024.
The iconic vessel is ready to transport tens of thousands of passengers to and from the Isles of Scilly from Penzance.
During 2023, the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group said it transported over 118,000 passengers out into the Atlantic islands, and a British destination with a feel of the Caribbean.
The Steamship Group says it is now possible to check in for each journey online, 24 hours before your schedule departure time, and allowing passengers arriving to bypass the check-in queue and proceed to embarkation.
A popular Locals’ Offer is being reintroduced this season, with a day trip costing £25 for those resident in Cornwall.
The Scillonian III has been on a busy maintenance period, with training new crew, surveying and checking equipment, and finishing off all internal and external paintworks, and looking forward to another year of connecting the islands with the mainland, said the Steamship Group.
The Isles of Scilly are protected by the Gulf Stream of warm ocean currents, and surrounded by an underwater garden of exotic plants, unseen elsewhere in the British Isles.
