ROYAL MARINES RAIDING CRAFT ON SHOW

A very impressive show of force was spotted this evening in the Sound where the Royal Marines made quite a splash.

Recently it was announced the UK commando forces are receiving revamped raiding boats to meet the demands of commandos in the mid 21st century and returning to their World War 2 raiding roots.

Intense coastal landings behind enemy lines with small teams wreaking havoc on enemy infrastructure and systems.

The current fleet of craft were aging and had limited range say defence experts.
