The countdown of the homecoming @HMS_Richmond to Plymouth next month with some excellent pictures courtesy of @HMNBDevonport on its global deployment.
The Type 23 frigate will be back in time for Christmas after an eight-month mission supporting the UK flagship @HMSPWLS with other warships, aircraft, and auxiliary vessels from across the fleet, including other allied navies as part of CSG25.
The deployment has involved around 2,500 military personnel-roughly 2,100 Britons, 200 Norwegians and a similar number of Canadians and Spanish – rising to over 4,500 for some of the key exercises.
Westward Shipping News captured @HMS_Richmond sailing out of the Sound in the spring to join the carrier group, and our live webcam will be one of the first to see the frigate inbound to @HMNBDevonport on the 1st December, to be met by families and loved ones on the quayside.
