PLYMOUTH ARMED FORCES DAY 2026

Over 100 military charities and organisations are showcasing in Plymouth’s Hoe Park this weekend to celebrate Armed Forces Day, dated Saturday 27th June.

Armed Forces Day is a national celebration honouring the men and women of the UK’s military, and the city’s event is packed with displays, exhibitions, demonstrations, and all-round family entertainment.

The Promenade is already set up with barriers and the arena, main stage at the end of the picture, and marquee tents and military villages all in place ready for the day.

Dorcas Media/Westward Shipping News is an armed forces signee and a proud gold-award business supporting our amazing military,’ said media director Kevin Kelway.

Plymouth Hoe is the perfect amphitheatre to mark the day in celebrating the city’s active military personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets, and their families.

The day of events will include military vehicles; demonstrations, including combat & rescue demonstrations; parades and ceremonies; and recovering veterans competing in a triathlon of swimming, biking, and rowing at the Art Deco Tinside Lido.

The Hoe Park is set into areas of military villages, providing information tents, advice, and recruitment opportunities for people interested in careers in the armed forces.

Live music and entertainment are part of the day, with a free evening concert to thank the Armed Forces communities in the city.
