Plymouth’s famous Hoe Promenade was cordoned off for a second day with a medical emergency from the visiting cruise liner the Artania.
A lifeboat was also called and could be seen waiting near the huge cruise liner. Our live webcam captured the dramatic moments of the helicopter winching a person off the ship.
The Coastguard were alerted at around 10am with reports of a medical incident on the vessel. A patient was winched off the liner and taken ashore by an HM Coast Guard helicopter, where an ambulance was waiting.
