HMS TRIUMPH SAILS OUT TO SEA

HMS Triumph the last Trafalgar-class nuclear submarine in the Royal Navy was escorted out of the Sound yesterday evening by Plymouth’s tugboats.

The beehive of activity at the foot of the Tamar near the Hoe was captured live on our webcam as she made her journey across the Hoe waterfront, and perhaps her last major time at sea.

The hunter killer submarine is expected to remain in service until 2024.
