The Royal Navy attack submarine HMS Astute was spotted on our live webcam early this morning leaving the Sound and returning to sea.
The usual tight security was in operation with Police, and Serco vessels escorting the Submarine outside of the Plymouth Breakwater.
HMS Astute has been described as ‘more complex than the Space Shuttle‘ and is arguably the finest attack submarine in the world says some defence experts.
