GETTING READY FOR THE POPULAR MS AMERA

Plymouth will be the last coastal stop on Friday morning at 8am for the MS AMERA cruise ship.

The vessel will drop anchor in the Sound on a whistle-stop visit before returning to the city of Bremerhaven in northern Germany on Saturday.

The ship is operated by Phoenix Reisen a German-based travel agency that also operates a fleet of cruise vessels. The MS Amera has visited Plymouth several times in recent years.

MS Amera, left Bremerhaven, Bremen, on the 26th of April for 17 days of cruising around Iceland, Scotland, the Orkney Islands, Shetland, and a favourite stopover in Plymouth.

Once again Westward Shipping News will capture some of the first images on our live webcam as the vessel arrives in the Sound.

Passengers on the MS Amera will embark on shuttle boats to the Barbican Landing Stage and be met by Volunteer Cruise Ship Ambassadors and other city representatives.
