A British style icon, the MV Hebridean Princess arrived in the early hours and dropped anchor near the village of Cawsand.

The iconic cruise ship will berth at the Barbican Landing Stage this morning around 9am, where it will be met by city representatives, volunteer cruise ship ambassadors, and other shore handlers.

Westward Shipping News live webcam will capture the first images of the ship as it is escorted by the Plymouth Pilot Boat across the waterfront towards the Barbican.

The cruise ship epitomises glamour and visited the city twice before and is due to carry 48 passengers and is designed to resemble a country house at sea.

The late Queen Elizabeth II sailed on the luxury vessel twice, especially on her 80th birthday, cruising around the Scottish Islands.
Built in 1964 at the height of the Cold War, and originally designed as a command centre in the event of a nuclear war.
MV Hebridean Princess is a day visitor, and the city’s Cruise Partnership and Volunteer Cruise Ambassadors will greet the visitors at the Barbican Landing Stage.

It has been a busy season of cruise ship visitors to Plymouth so far this year with Ambition, Spirit of Adventure, Norwegian Pearl, Amera, Silver Spirit, Spirit of Discovery, and the latest vessel, MV Hebridean Princess.
The remaining cruise call visitors for 2025 will include Vista, 24 August, Crystal Serenity, 4 September, Silver Dawn,17 September; and the last ship of the year, the Sirena, on September 25.
