ARMED FORCES DAY ON THE PROMENADE BEGINS

Plymouth Armed Forces Day on the Hoe Promenade has started and thousands of visitors are expected all day. Our live webcam will follow some of the day’s events & (weather permitting) the aircraft flyover of the Red Arrows.

Westward Shipping News will have a ringside seat looking out across the Esplanade and Plymouth Sound, and will capture the many thousands of visitors expected to attend the events and activities taking place on the Esplanade and Hoe Park.

Military villages are being set up like previous years to showcase a wide variety of interactive displays – with representatives from all of the UK Armed Services including the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Airforce, and the Army.

More than 80 organisations and charities will be offering information marquees and information stands on a wide range of issues. There will be an all-day arena on the Promenade, with live music, and all sorts of displays and vehicles on show.

Full diary of events can be viewed on the Plymouth Armed Forces website: www.plymoutharmedforcesday.co.uk
