ONE of Plymouth’s popular cruise ship visitors, the Crystal Serenity, arrived back in the Sound this morning and was escorted by the pilot boat.

Westward Shipping News live webcam captured the luxurious ship dropping its anchor at 7.00am this morning, near the breakwater on a whistle-stop visit to the city.

Tender boats took many of the 650 passengers and crew to the Barbican Landing Stage, where they were greeted by the city’s Volunteer Cruise Ambassadors, shore handlers, and other city representatives.

The 13-deck floating palace will be visiting Plymouth twice this year and boasts some of the high seas most luxurious spas and salons, multiple restaurants, a swimming pool, a bridge lounge, casino, a cinema, cabaret club, and the ‘university of the sea’ with a large library onboard.

At 250m-long, the £260 million cruise ship was live streaming on our website throughout the day. The Crystal Serenity is operated by Crystal Cruises and is the seventh cruise visitor to the city in 2025 and will return again on the 4 September.
