A SUNSHINE WELCOME FOR THE OCEAN NOVA

The latest cruise visitor to Plymouth the Ocean Nova has brought the sunshine with her and berthed at Trinity Pier, in Millbay today.

The vessel is one of the world’s smallest, tailor-made arctic expedition ships, that was built in Denmark in 1992, and completely refurbished in 2006.

The Ocean Nova takes up to 78 passengers in twin and triple cabins.

Doug Kerr, Cruise Ambassadors Founder and Co-ordinater, said: “Cruise Ambassador Volunteers will be at Millbay on Friday afternoon ‘welcoming guests embarking the vessel’. Also a couple of our volunteers will be on Trinity Pier just before 7pm for the departure,” he said.

The cabins are spread over two decks and include cabins for the single traveller, double and triple cabins, all with sea-view and private facilities. The comfortable dining room located on the Upper deck seats all passengers.

Plymouth is getting a reputation in offering cruise companies planned and unscheduled calls to the city, with the Port’s hospitality hosts and shore handlers second to none in the UK.
