“27 organisations from across the city took part in exhibiting their services, with over 50 buyers attending the event.”

“The showcase highlighted the varied range of the city’s hospitality sectors, from hotels, visitor and tourism attractions, suppliers, and the ideal opportunity for networking opportunities.”

Plymouth was recently rated as the ‘best place for quality of life’ in this year’s (Demos-PwC Good Growth for Cities Index), and it was our chance to promote the city’s impressive credentials for tourism, conferences, meetings, events, and for buyers/influencers looking for the best Plymouth can offer, said Amanda.

Plymouth’s maritime and marine activities were also featured at the conference with the Tinside Lido relaunch this summer season, the UK’s first National Marine Park in the Sound, and especially the city’s varied outdoor and water activities.

The city’s famous waterfront boasts some of the best boat trip tours around the Sound, River Tamar, and Dockyard warship attractions.

Destination Plymouth is a private and public partnership whose role is to champion the city’s tourism role on the global stage.

Every year, 5.2 million visitors come to the city to enjoy the varied and diverse range of scenery, cultural and historic attractions, and especially the city’s famous waterfront.
